DAV Public School, Tanda enthusiastically celebrated the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign with great zeal and commitment towards environmental conservation. The programme was organized to inspire students to plant and nurture a tree in honour of their mothers, highlighting the invaluable role of both mothers and Mother Earth in nurturing life. The campaign, launched nationally to promote afforestation and environmental awareness, encourages every individual to plant a tree as a living tribute to their mother.
The celebration commenced with a special morning assembly where the Principal addressed the students on the importance of protecting the environment and preserving nature for future generations. Teachers explained the significance of the campaign and encouraged every student to become an active participant in creating a greener and healthier planet.
Students, teachers, and staff members participated wholeheartedly in the tree plantation drive conducted on the school campus. Various saplings of fruit-bearing, medicinal, and shade-giving trees were planted. Each sapling was dedicated to the participants' mothers, symbolizing love, gratitude, and responsibility towards both motherhood and nature.
Students took a pledge to protect the environment by planting more trees, conserving water, reducing plastic use, and caring for the saplings they planted. They also shared messages emphasizing that planting a tree is not just an act of environmental conservation but also a lifelong tribute to their mothers.
The programme concluded with the Principal appreciating the enthusiastic participation of students and staff. The event successfully instilled environmental awareness, social responsibility, and respect for mothers among the students.
